About This Recruitment
Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar is conducting a recruitment drive to fill 78 vacancies for the post of Surveyor, Class-3 under the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force, Gujarat State, Forest and Environment Department. The selection process will be conducted via a competitive exam to prepare the merit/waiting list. Salary & Benefits
- First 5 Years₹26,000/month (fixed)
- After 5 YearsPay Level-4, ₹25,500-81,100
Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the initial 5 years. Upon successful completion of 5 years of satisfactory service, candidates will be absorbed into regular pay scale under Level-4 (₹25,500 - ₹81,100) as per 7th Pay Commission.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification or ITI Certificate in Surveyor (1/2 years course).
- Candidate holding a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is NOT eligible to apply.
- Possess basic knowledge of computer application.
- Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Physical Test Standards (Walking Test)
- Male candidates: 25 km walking in 4 hours
- Female candidates: 14 km walking in 4 hours

Selection Process / Exam Pattern
Selection Stage
- Single stage competitive written examination consisting of Objective Type (MCQ) CBRT/OMR exam divided into Part-A and Part-B.
- Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40% separately in Part-A and Part-B.
Part-A (90 Marks / 90 Questions)
- Reasoning & Data Interpretation: 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks
- Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension: 30 Marks
Part-B (120 Marks / 120 Questions)
- Questions related to the concerned subject and its utility: 120 Marks
Syllabus
- Part-A includes Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Mathematics/Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati language comprehension, and English language comprehension.
- Part-B covers technical subjects relevant to Civil Engineering and Surveying knowledge.

- Upload scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature in JPG format.
